It was a brilliant performance: amazing voices, set, costumes, and the whole show were impeccable. My neighbor, with whom I attended, was not familiar with the opera, so it was a new discovery for her. I thought that I knew it very well (we even studied it at school), but, as with many other classical operas, I found that in the Soviet Union, we only knew an abridged version. I still do not understand why all the dialogue was cut from all the operas! When you have dialogue, everything starts to make sense! The full-length opera is super long, but we had an amazing time!
