Lena is the best host ever, and one of the things she planned for two of us was biking at the crack of dawn on Sunday! We had to drive to the bike path, and Lena had to fit two bikes into her car, but the experience was totally worth it! She also researched the path in advance, so that we wouldn’t have to wonder where to go in the places when the path suddenly disappears.
We ended up making 12 miles, then drove back home for breakfast, and then headed to Ann Arbor Downtown.
We visited several shops and the artisan market.
And then there was probably the most interesting part of my visit: a tour of the Willow Run Bomber Plant! The “Rosie the Riveter” poster was created there, but what’s more important, it was the largest bomber plant in the world! I tried to take as many pictures as possible, and I hope that my readers will be able to follow the story and learn all amazing facts about the plant that Lena and I learned!
We still had some time after we finished at the Bomber Plant, so Lens took me on a neighborhood tour.
I left after an early dinner with a bag of Michigan apples and unforgettable memories!
