I took a half-day off today to spend some time with mom. First, because she didn’t get a chance to say happy birthday to me yesterday, and second, I wanted her to see the inauguration.
It was a cold but sunny and really beautiful day, and I went for a short walk.

Yes, I started to put flowers in my bedroom again

Then, I had everything set up for watching and went to ;pick up mom at 10 AM.

She really enjoyed the event. I do not know what she was watching before; most likely, some Russian news where they were painting Biden, I do not even want to know how exactly. I say this because, during the whole campaign, she was saying, “I do not want to talk about politics; I do not have enough information.”

But after we watched, completely unprompted, she said: If I could vote, I would vote for Biden!

When I was twenty, I’ve declared that the databases are the coolest thing invented and that I want to do them for the rest of my life. Thirty plus years later, I still believe it’s true, and still, believe that the databases are the best.
