Wow – I thought that our Caltrain is unique.

We have the actual Santa train as well, but you need to be first in line for the tickets, and it runs just a couple of times on each line.

Caltrain did use a lot of Nippon Sharyo passenger train cars that are basically identical to what Metra’s non-electrified lines use – though WIkipedia tells me that they’re no longer in use now that Caltrain has electrified.

Yup, and it’s (getting new trains) happened this year. Feels like in Europe now 🙂
