I didn’t feel birthday-ly on January 19, but not because I was upset or miserable or whatever. It was just that I met with the family on Sunday, and we talked about my past year, how I feel about it, and what I am looking forward to. And my actual birthday was just a date. There were two goals I had for January 19: to do some things that I love doing and to go to bed at 10:30. The latter one didn’t happen again, but I keep trying.
So the day was just Friday, the way I like it. I worked out in the gym
Went to work, had time to have breakfast in peace and quiet, and talked to Boris before work started.
Worked
Went skating and then back to work
There were several cool things I was able to do at work, something I had been trying to accomplish for a very long time, and it finally came together. Even when nobody noticed, I had a feeling of satisfaction.
Before I got on the train back home, I stopped at Vanille and had a passionfruit tart:
Then I stopped at my mom’s place, and when I got home, there was a birthday gift from my friend Lena waiting for me:
I tried the tea already, it’s amazing!
Then I spent the rest of the evening replying to the birthday emails. Actually, I almost succeeded – I had only four left for today, but that meant that I didn’t go to bed at 10-30, as I tried. I hope it does not mean that I will never go to bed on time for the next year.
Speaking about gifts, I wanted to show a couple more. Anna’s family put together a photo book about our trip to Finland. I think it’s the first time I have a photo book about anything, and I really liked it! Now I’m thinking I should make photo books of some of my trips.
And Igor gave me an Indiana Dunes T-shirt, which I loved!
